Time: Initial-Skills Analysis 45-60 minutes; Specific-Skills Analysis and Summative Assessment 30-40 minutes; and Oral Reading Fluency Assessment 15-30 minutes.

• Determine what your students know at the beginning of the school year
• Monitor your students’ development and specify their reading difficulties
• Provide detailed information about your students’ skills at the end of the school year
• Report your students’ skills to parents, teachers, and administrators
• Identify students who need help to become successful readers by grade 3
• Create an individual profile for each of your students
