The Developmental Activities Screening Inventory-II (DASI-II) is a revised edition of the popular Developmental Activities Screening Inventory (DASI). DASI-II is designed to provide early detection of developmental disabilities in children functioning between the ages of birth and 60 months, although the lowest scorable age is 1 month. This informal, individualized test can be easily administered by classroom teachers. Developmental skills assessed by DASI-II cover 15 skills categories ranging from sensory intactness, means-end relationships, and causality to memory, seriation, and reasoning. A matrix is provided for identifying the concepts tapped by each test item. Instructions are given either verbally or visually.
