Library of Vocabulary Photographs
The Library of Vocabulary Photographs-Second Edition takes the concept to the next level. Use this program with older children, adolescents, and adults. This revision includes over 600 full-color photographs of functional objects found in the home, office, classroom, and community. Printed on 3 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ cards, these pictures come in 13 separate kits, each containing 47 photos. Some of the kits include: Electrical Appliances, Body, Office and School, Clothing, Parts of the House, and more. The newly added Community Kit contains photos of easy-to-indentify places, activities, and people that are familiar and motivating to clients. Locations pictured in this deck consist of a bowling alley, theater, grocery store, zoo, and many more.
Another improvement to this program is the addition of the picture’s corresponding word printed on the back of each card. The words are printed in very large type, which is perfect for individuals with visual difficulties. The back of each card also includes a readability index that’s useful, particularly for clients learning English as a second language. The printed words also allow for self-checking during reading, vocabulary, and comprehension practice.
