This fun, high-interest, interactive game will reinforce (and promote carryover of) a wide range of oral language skills in your students. Specifically targeted are semantic, syntactic, and morphological skills.

PICL can be played by two to six players. You pull the deck of cards representing one of the 40 language activities you want to reinforce (e.g. vocabulary, possessives, synonyms). Then, ask students to respond to the items presented (e.g., vocabulary item: “What do you call something that is not true?”).
